A Constellation of Light: Reflections on My Travels with Mother

A note from our co-founder Jess, on what she carried home from touring the world alongside her mother, Barbara.

I’m freshly home from being on tour with Mum, I am pondering on my trip, USA, UK, Canada, Europe.

Two things stand out.

Firstly, I am inspired by the fire of motivation that drives Mum to continue to speak, spreading her message of simple health principles and freedom from fear.

Her motivation? It’s your stories, ordinary people who wanted to understand their bodies. Who took the foundational laws of health that she speaks of and applied them directly to their everyday lives, then witnessed the phenomenal ability of the body to heal if given the right conditions.

Secondly, I am struck with an extraordinary heart-expanding knowing that there is a network forming. When I think about all the places we have been, from Huntington to Winchester, Toronto to Bucharest I see bright shining lights crisscrossing the globe. One little light here, that is linked to one over there and connecting to others. A constellation of stars in my mind’s eye, steadily growing, illuminating.

These little bright lights are people I’ve met, faces shining with light. Individuals who want better, who desire change for good, first within themselves, then outwards, seeking to spread hope and empowerment through understanding how their bodies work and what it takes to heal and thrive.

I’ve been honoured to travel with Mum, watching her spreading hope and light like a sunrise. While she is a remarkable woman, Mum is also just a human, just like you and me, someone who chose to do good, firstly for herself, then for her family, now to the whole world. The power we hold as human beings to care for our own precious beautiful bodies, that deserve to be nourished and treasured is not to be underestimated. Small choices in our own daily habits and lives can then extend outwards, like a glow, to our families, friends, workmates and wider community.

With my hand on my heart I can tell you there are more of us than I realised, constellations of hope and light in a world that can sometimes seem a little dark.

In love and light,

Jess
